Connection String for VB.NET OLEDB class?

This is the connection string an application using VB 6 uses to open a connection:
"Driver={Teradata};DBCNAME=" & lsDB & ";UID=" & lsUID & ";pwd=" & lsPWord & ";DATAENCRYPTION=Y;"

How do I open a DSNless connection for VB.NET? (using the OleDB.OleDBConnection class).

The connection string doesn't work.

Do I have to install Teradata .NET drivers?

Or can I use what I have now (Teradata ODBC Drivers Version 12)?
And I just need a proper connection string?

Re: Connection String for VB.NET OLEDB class?

Use ".NET Data Provider for ODBC" not ".NET Data Provider for OLE DB".

I suggest ".NET Data Provider for Teradata" if there is no specific requirement to use the ODBC driver.
