You wrote "VS 203". Do you mean VS 2013 or VS 2003?

.NET Data Provider version 13.11.0.1 does not support VS 2003 or VS 2013. Refer to https://developer.teradata.com/doc/connectivity/tdnetdp/13.11/webhelp/webframe.html

.NET Data Provider version 15.01 supports VS 2013 https://developer.teradata.com/doc/connectivity/tdnetdp/15.01/webhelp/webframe.html#SystemRequiremen...

However you must use Entity Framework 5.0, 4.0 or 3.5.

Re: How to connect Teradata in ASP.NET MVC using EF

Thanks for reply,

I am using VS 2013, Entity Framework 6.0, and .NET Data Provider 13.11.0.1. So you mean if I will have  .NET Data provider 15.01 installed then I can use this with VS 2013 right?

But I went through the link you provided, there it is mentioed Supported Teradata versions as

  • Teradata Database 15.00
  • Teradata Database 14.10
  • Teradata Database 14.0
  • Teradata Database 13.10
  • Teradata Database 13.0

So if I am having .NET Data Provider 13.11.0.1 this will not support for any type of Visual stidio version?

Could you please lt me know

You must use VS 2010 if you need to use the .NET Data Provider version 13.11.0.1. The .NET Data Provider version 13.11 is very old; it does not automatically integrate with the VS 2013.

The Entity Provider for Teradata does not support Entity Framework 6.0.
