Did you install the .NET Data Provider for Teradata?
if not, go to http://downloads.teradata.com/download/connectivity/dot-net-data-provider download the latest version (14.10) and install it. It integrates with Visual Studio 2010.
its not supported. the newest version of Entity Framework supported by the latest release of the Teradata .net driver (version 14.11.0) is the Entity Framework that comes with Visual Studio 2008.
You can't use VS2010, VS2012, or VS2013.
There is additional information in the readme.txt that comes with the 14.11.0 driver.
You can use the Entity Provider for Teradata within Visual Studio 2010. Of course it only supports Entity Framework 3.5 features; i.e. Database First, 3.5 Canonical functions and etc.
The Entity Provider and the Data Provider for Teradata version 14.11 does not automtically integrate with Visual Studio 2012 or Visual Studio 2013. There is a manual (add entries to the Registry) workaround for it though.
