Invalid date/time/timestamp error after upgrading Teradata drivers to 13.10

Hello All,

I just upgraded the Teradat drivers from version 12 to version 13.10 on one of my servers, and after doing so I started to get errors in a Cognos Impromptu query that said [Teradata][ODBC Teradata Driver] Invalid date/time/timestamp value. The full body of the error message is below. There were no changes made to the query itself and when I pull the SQL and run it in SQL Assistant, the query runs fine and returns an answerset. Is there any date/time setting that need to be tweaked after upgrading drivers to 13.10?

Thanks in advance.

-Robert

Re: Invalid date/time/timestamp error after upgrading Teradata drivers to 13.10

ODBC Driver has "DateTime Format" option; it controls the Session DateForm. Session DateForm can be set to ANSI or Integer. The Session DateForm impacts the implicit conversion from Character Literal (e.g. '2010-01-01') to Date data type.

On Windows

  1. Start the ODBC Data Source Administrator
  2. Select "Data Source" and click "Configure"
  3. Press "Options >>" button
  4. The "Teradata ODBC Drivers Options" dialog box has a list box for "DateTime Format".

Re: Invalid date/time/timestamp error after upgrading Teradata drivers to 13.10

Hi,

we have two operational TD 13 databases and have a similar issue where we get 'Invalid date supplied' error on one of the databases but not on the other. The date field is populated via a third-party tool thus we cannot see the SQL being inserted.

The thing is that it was working up until last week on both databases but now it is failing on one - I would like to know what could have changed on the system for this to start occuring?

Please help.
