Re: ODBC.INI

It looks your odbc.ini configured to use an ODBC driver not from Teradata.  (is it from  DataDirect?).  We can't provide any help for that in this forum.

Re: ODBC.INI

Just note from my experience with ODBC.....

There are many vendors of ODBC , some of them are providing default drivers for major databases by default, even with bundled drivers for each database vendor. Also there are "wire protocol" and "thick-client" drivers. Which means difference when you'd like to use them ... (see the link below for more ...)

Many vendors are providing 'licensing' mechanism to control what you can/can't connect. So you might find that one application is using system ODBC and second one is using its own (for example Informatica, even they are from Datadirect aswell).

There is some reading for you regarding the IBM ODBC  (okey this is for SPSS, but the part about ODBC configuration and setup is good for generic study as well) http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/ba-pp-spss-page660/index.html?ca=drs#resources

To get more information what is happening just turn the TRACE=ON for that driver you are playing with, then check the log to see if you just missconfigured the orchestra driver or database driver or you have some library/license issue.

Speaking of parameters, seems you have all mandatory okey. I am just wondering why there is XEtera25.so from IBM and not tdata.so

Example of $ODBCINI config from TDEXpress with TRACE OFF and removed IP addresses.
