Re: Speed up your JDBC/ODBC applications

To further speed up the data movement between Teradata and Hive, we can fully explore the combination of TPT (fast export & import) and binary file format.

TPT Export is super fast. With a host that is equipped with 10Gbp NIC and 1TB SSD, we can export fetch data up to 400MB/sec for big tables. Then the data file in Fast Export format can be directly read in Hive via https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/Hive/TeradataBinarySerde

For bulk data export and import, this can be an efficient alternative to JDBC(TDCH)/ODBC as well.
