Tableau Connection to Teradata and forcing encryption

We require a solution to enforce encrypted connection to Teradata from Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop.

Regardless of whether the user selected "Require Encryption" option during setup of the Teradata data connection.

The Teradata DBAs only have one solution but it requires a predefined ODBC System DSN with this option set - however Tableau contructs it's own connection string.

Are there any configuration settings for the Teradata ODBC driver that can can be used to override or force encryption ?

From Tableau logs I can see this;

Configuring a Confidentiality QOP Policy

I suggest setting up Network Security Policy; refer to the Security Administration manual.
