Re: Teradata OLE DB Provider 13.0 64 bit for Windows 2008 is not available

Peter,

Unfortunately, Teradata does NOT have a 64-bit OLEDB driver for Teradata. Therefore, we recommend the following.

1. Use the 64-bit Microsoft OLEDB for ODBC, with the 64-bit ODBC Driver for Teradata.
2. 64-bit OLEDB for ODBC download: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=000364db-5e8b-44a8-b9be-ca44d18b059b&DisplayLang=en

Thanks,
Darrick

Re: Teradata OLE DB Provider 13.0 64 bit for Windows 2008 is not available

But that driver is just usable for Windows 2003, not for Windows 2008. Do you have another recommendation available?

Re: Teradata OLE DB Provider 13.0 64 bit for Windows 2008 is not available

Windows Server 2008 already includes the 64bit OLEDB to ODBC bridge by default - you only need to install the 64bit ODBC driver (plus ICU and GSS)

Re: Teradata OLE DB Provider 13.0 64 bit for Windows 2008 is not available

I installed ICU+GSS+ODBC 64 Bit version, but SSIS is still missing the OLE DB Provider for Teradata.

Re: Teradata OLE DB Provider 13.0 64 bit for Windows 2008 is not available

Same problem, porting existing application that uses TD OLE DB from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit Edition.

Re: Teradata OLE DB Provider 13.0 64 bit for Windows 2008 is not available

I installed 64-bit ODBC Driver for Teradata. Can we get a little more detail on

"1. Use the 64-bit Microsoft OLEDB for ODBC, with the 64-bit ODBC Driver for Teradata."

What changes are required in the connection string ?
What needs to be defined, if anything, in 64-bit ODBC Administrator ?
Are there any configuration changes to activate Microsoft OLEDB for ODBC on Windows Server 2008 R2 and link it to ODBC Driver for Teradata ?

Re: Teradata OLE DB Provider 13.0 64 bit for Windows 2008 is not available

Answered my own questions and got a connection using the .NET Odbc classes.
