Using != throws an error in [TeraJDBC 13.10.00.03]

As per subject, really.  Got a simple query:

SELECT * FROM dbc.databases WHERE databasename != 'foo'

When I try and run it through the JDBC connection I get the error:

[Teradata Database] [TeraJDBC 13.10.00.03] [Error 3707] [SQLState 42000] Syntax error, expected something like an 'IN' keyword or a 'CONTAINS' keyword between the word 'databasename' and '|'.

Workaround would appear to be use <> instead of !=
