jdbc driver: getColumns fails on a valid column

Hi,

I'm trying to call the DatabaseMetaData.getColumns("", "schema", "tablename", "column_name_short") function and am getting an exception "[NCR][Teradata JDBC Driver]:TeraDatabaseMetaData: getColumns : Failed to create result set. Index = 1 and rowIndex = 0. String index out of range: -1."

This occurs when I have column names formatted in the following manner "column_name" and "column_name_short". If I rename "column_name" to be "cn", the error disappears.

Does anyone know if there are bugs concerning this function in the jdbc driver (perhaps underscores, escape sequences, etc)?

Thanks

Greg
