trying to connect to SQL 2005 DTS

I'm using OLEDB for Teradata, but it wont keep the password saved, it keeps clearing it.

Error I keep getting is:

Error 1 Validation error. Data Flow Task: OLE DB Source [5419]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_CANNOTACQUIRECONNECTIONFROMCONNECTIONMANAGER. The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "W" failed with error code 0xC0202009.
There may be error messages posted before this with more information on why the AcquireConnection method call failed. ImportMSPLoans_W.dtsx 0 0

Anybody else got SQl 2005 DTS to import data? If so, what driver?

Thank you

Leo

Not Teradata specific, but did you set PersistSecurityInfo property to True for the connection?

Re: trying to connect to SQL 2005 DTS

Yes... tried that...

I'm trying to import 5M records, and currently using Linked Server with Stor Proc (OPENQUERY).

It takes about 2.5 hours, anybody know how to make this faster?

maybe using OLEDB, ODBC, .NET (have not worked at all).

Thank you

Re: trying to connect to SQL 2005 DTS

I downloaded the oledb teradata driver for windows and I have the same issue. Is there a way to make sure the password is saved within the data flow task in SSIS package.
