I have ERWin v9.5 std edition and working with Teradata DB v14.10.
This DB version allows the column length to be 128 characters.
I am trying to reverse engineer a Teradata table in ERWin where columns' length is ranging between 70 to 80 characters. But column names are trimmed to 30 chars only while doing so. I can't increase the column length in 'Model Naming Options' as it clearly says 'Max length of column cannot exceed 30'.
Is there a patch available for ERWin to address this gap between DB column length limit and tool column length limit? OR i am missing any other options?
Appreciate your help on this.
Erwin 9.5 has support for TD 13 so for patch questions I'd suggest posting on the CA website, or contact CA support.
ERWIN 9.6.1 supports 128 character object names 64 in Latin 128 for UNICODE, a 2-byte character set)
