Can we create bteq monitor partition session with defined PE number?

Hello Forum,

What are the maximum number of monitor partition sessions per PE?

Can we create monitor partition session using bteq, and is it also possible with defining PE number? if yes, please provide steps to acheive that.

Thanks,
Sandeep.

Re: Can we create bteq monitor partition session with defined PE number?

Hi,

128 monitor sessions on the system. (I think it is a max of four on a PE - not sure).

No, you cannot logon to Monitor partition using Bteq. You have to write your own program to use monitor partition. note that most monitor partition data is available using the syslib functions (MonitorPhysicalResouce etc.). They return some data in slightly different formats etc. but all/most of the data is there.

Cheers,

Dave
