Create table and insert data into Teradata database from MS SQL Server

Hi,

I have setup a link server from my Microsoft SQL Server database to a Teradata database. Question is now, how do I create a table and insert data into it from Microsoft SQL Server database? I'm pretty new to Teradata, so I don't know all the tricks.

Thank you,

Are you using any ETL tool! Then that would be easiest.
Otherwise export the data from MS server to a Flat File and Import the Flat File in Teradata Database using Loaders.

What you can use is an ETL tool. There are open source tools available for free.
Talend Open Studio is an open source ETL tool for data integration and migration experts. It's easy to learn for a non-technical user.

What distinguishes Talend, when it comes to business users, is the tMap component. It allows the user to get a graphical and functional view of integration processes. For more information: http://www.talend.com/
