Duplicate records in Fload or Mload

Fload and Mload rejects duplicate records from target table and dumps them in error table. I would like to know what kind of records are called duplicate
1) It just checks at the PI level (ie duplicate PI with a different column getting changed in the duplicate record).
2) Or is it a row level check? (Only if the complete record is duplicate, ie all columns in both records have same values)

Re: Duplicate records in Fload or Mload

Hi sakthi,

Generally duplicate records refer to duplicate rows.
In case of PI, duplicate PI values are rejected only if you declared it as Unique PI.
Hope this answer your question..

Re: Duplicate records in Fload or Mload

Hi sakthi...

duplicate record is nothing but a row in a table which every field contains the exact same data as the fields of existing row.

Fastload doesn't load duplicatte rows from u r data source to the database.

Multilad utility allows duplicate rows.

thanks and regards
