Ferret Compression

Hello again,

my short question. Does blocklevelcompression of a table done by ferret lock this table, or can this table be used while compression is running?

Best Regards

Martin

Re: Ferret Compression

Ferret operates at the filesystem level and does not use database locks. Tables in the command scope remain available for both read and write from the database point of view (though you may see some performance impact on a busy system).
