Generic SQLException handler doesn't handle user defined conditions

Hi all,

in my elaboration stored procedure I want to raise user defined condition with the 'signal' command.

I have defined a generic SQLException handler that I want to use also for this user defined exception.

Anyway if I use signal without specifying a SQLSTATE or with a SQLSTATE of type 'U0xxx', this generic handler is not invoked.

How can I solve this?

I don't want to create 2 handlers that do the same identical things, one for SQLException and one for this user defined exception.

Should I use a different SQLSTATE? And if so, which one?

Thanks a lot,

Simon
