Hot Standby Node

Hi All,

In my view, if a node fails in clique AMPs from failed will migrate to Hot Standby node, to complete this process one restart is required. After failed a node is repaired it will become new hot standby node, for this additional restart is not required.

So even we have one hot standby in the system, atleast one restart is essential if a node failure happens. Kindly confirm whether my understanding is correct.

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,

Ramkumar

Re: Hot Standby Node

If a node fails, it will trigger a database restart. This will normally result in the AMPs from the failed node either migrating to the HSN or being distributed among the remaining nodes in the recovery clique (if no HSN).
