How is a Teradata SQL query parsed and executed?

Hi guys,

I'm a student at Teradata. I found some diffeence when running SQL in TD and Oracle.

Can anyone help to explain the parsing and executing principle of TD SQL?

It'll be great if there is a comparision.

Thanks  alot!

It is very long.

I suggest you go through the link http://www.info.teradata.com/edownload.cfm?itemid=131540016 .

As for oracle, you can check with their website as I am a bit outdated with the versions. But it is an oracle engine.

which can be as good as these links:

http://www.oraclebin.com/2012/12/sql-query-execution-steps-in-oracle.html

http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B10501_01/appdev.920/a96590/adg08sql.htm
