How to Cancel a regegade teradata session initiated through Queryman?

Hi,

I'm connecting to Teradata server (Database Release - V2R.06.01.01.70 and Database Version - 06.01.01.69) via queryman. While executing a query the session hangs and hence forced closure of the application using "ctrl+alt+del". When I re-login using the same user-id and query on the DBC.SessionInfo table I'm able to see two live session threads for my user-id (one from the previous forced closure). If there a possibility to kill the renegade session? Any pointers to do this would help. If killing the renegade session is not possible, will the session drop off after a period of time?

Thanks
Deepan.

Ans: You cannot kill a session using any query. If you have access and permission you may use Teradata manager or Teradata PMON utility to abort a session. Best way, just give a call to your DBA....
