I think you trace it out by the Node ID's from vproc manager.however this is not the exact method to do it, there might be someother good way to find out.

run STATUS command from vprocmanager and you will get the status of vprocs corresponding to a node ID.Hope this helps

I only have access to sql assistant. Is there a way to find using that?

Re: How to find the no of nodes in my teradata system using sql assistant?

Another option I can think of is to query the Resourse usage views and macros

Re: How to find the no of nodes in my teradata system using sql assistant?

Try out this query for no of Nodes

Select count(distinct nodeid) from dbc.resusagescpu

And this one for number of Amps per node

Select nodeid,count(distinct Vproc) from dbc.ResCpuUsageByAmpView

Hope this helps!!!

Dear Annal,

That helped me in figuring the no of nodes in my system.

Thank you.

Re: How to find the no of nodes in my teradata system using sql assistant?

Hi Annal,
when i ran the first query, which you have mentioned for number of nodes, in my Teradata Sql Assisstant,it is giving '0'.What does it mean?

When i ran the second query, which is used to display the number of Amps,an error
"Selected non-aggregate values must be part of the associated group" was thrown.

Please can you help me on this...

Re: How to find the no of nodes in my teradata system using sql assistant?

I think you got zero because RSS might not have enabled for that particular option. So no data is logged /recorded.

Coming to second error message, you might not have included all non-aggregate columns in group by clause of your select query.

hi Leo
Thnks for ur reply.

Re: How to find the no of nodes in my teradata system using sql assistant?

Hi,

The second query to display number of AMPs gives me an error
3523: The user does not have SELECT access to DBC.ResCPUUsageByAMPView.
Any other way to find out the number of AMPs?

The first query was executed succesfully...

Thanks,
Ravi
