Is Hashmap for both PI and SI same or different?

In message passing layer we have a HAshMap....

Is this same for both SI and PI?

If so why do we need the subtable for SI?We can directly access the base-table from the row hash generated by the has algorithm...

Is there any specific reason behind this?

Hi,

Hashmap Reference is different for PI and SI.
In case of PI the row id from hashmap may have AMP ID, Row hash value and Row Uniqueness value(NUPI), where as in SI the row id from hashmap will have Subtable-AMP ID and Subtable-row hash value.
