Is there a "reserved words" table/view?

I've looked through DBC and can't find one. I'd rather not have to maintain my own table containing Reserved and new Non-Reserved words by DBS version.

Teradata Database 13.10 introduced the SYSLIB.SQLRestrictedWords view.

Re: Is there a "reserved words" table/view?

Can anyone suggest what is the keyword for fetching data in read only mode ... as UR keyword in DB2

Re: Is there a "reserved words" table/view?

When you do your SELECT, put the phrase "LOCKING ROW FOR ACCESS" in front of it:

LOCKING ROW FOR ACCESS

SELECT...

;

That will cause the SQL to use access locking which will read uncommitted data and will not cause your program to keep others from updating the data while you're reading it.

If you refer to Teradata  documentation- SQL Fundamental then there is Appendix B: Restricted Words. Another document is Release Summary for a given release.
