Hi All, I have a table with 5 columns . C1 is column with Decimal(38,0). All other columns are of varchar datatype. UPDATE TBL1 FROM TBL1, (SEL Null AS C1, CAST(COUNT( *) AS DEC(38,0)) AS C2, 'Tablename' AS C3 , 'FACT' AS C4 , 'xyz' AS C5 FROM TBL2 WHERE DT< '12/01/30' ) STATQUERY SET C11=STATQUERY.c1, UPDATE_TIMESTAMP=CURRENT_TIMESTAMP; I am getting error like 'character string failed conversion to a numeric value'. Please help. Thanks in advance.
The DDL for the tables would help.
You've got alpha or alphanumeric data in column C2, and your cast is failing when it encounters untranslateable data.
