Issue when exporting data to Excel using Bteq

Hi

Im trying to export the data to an Excel file using Bteq.

But data consist of Numbers like 005689 ,this number are serial numbers for products ,which is unique .

when i try to export the data to excel i cant able to see the prefix '00' rather data viewable in excel is 5689. But it is entirely different there may be possiblity that otherp roduct will have this unqiue number .

could any one suggest me please . its import and urgent .

This may just be a display issue in Excel. Try playing with the format of that column and change it to Text or something other than numeric. This should force them to display the leading zeroes. Alternatively, try putting double quotes ("") around the field data when you export it. This may force excel to treat it as a character data as well.
