Linux VMWare Teradata 14 "DBS state is 7: System is operational without PEs - Sessions are not all"

I have getting "DBS state is 7: System is operational without PEs - Sessions are not allowed"  when using "pdestate -a";

I have intalled Vmware teradata player on Ubuntu.

I found some answers in the forum.

http://community.teradata.com/t5/Connectivity/Ping-Failed-can-not-connect-to-Teradata-on-Linux-aws/t...

But i don't know how to start vproc manager in the vmware player terminal.

Thanks..

Hi,

You could try this (there are probably other ways as well).

- xdbw&

This will start the 'database window' application containing 6 icons/buttons.

- click the 'supvr' icon/button

- once the 'supervisor' window opens, in the command area type: start vprocmanager

- back to the 'database window' application

- click the icon/button that says 'vprocmanager'
