Oracle and Teradata

I have two databases in the same server. One is Oracle and the other is Teradata. I want to join tables together using both databases. Similiar to below. Is this possible? I get an error when trying to join the tables.

Select *
from Database1.Sales m
inner join Database2.Part c ON m.part_number = c.part_nbr;

Re: Oracle and Teradata

Both Oracle and Teradata on the same system, two virtual machines?

You need either QueryGrid from Teradata or Oracle Gateway from Oracle...

Or a 3rd VM like MS SQL Server, which has built-in support for Remote Servers :-)
