Real/DoublePrecision/FLoat type in Teradata

In the reference of Teradata I could see numeric data types like Real,Double Precision,Float. But I could see example of only Float data. Can anybody point out whether all the three refers to the same type.In case the answer is in negative could you cite an example of a Real/Double Precision type?

Re: Real/DoublePrecision/FLoat type in Teradata

REAL and DOUBLE PRECISION are ANSI standard syntax, interpreted as identical to Teradata FLOAT.

Thanks Fred.So we can define a column as float in Teradata but it is not possible to define a column with data type as REAL?Is the understanding correct?

You can use the keyword REAL or DOUBLE PRECISION in the CREATE TABLE; the resulting column data type will be FLOAT.
