My guess would be that query logging is not turned on at the step level and that's why you're not seeing recent data.
If you are trying to capture the step level information for your query and you have the authority, you can go into Teradata Administrator and select the "Query Logging" option from the "Tools" menu item. You can then turn query logging on at the step level for your user ID (check "Step Information"). If you don't have the authority, you'll have to ask your DBA to do this.
You probably don't want to capture step level data on all your queries as it is pretty resource intensive, so I would turn it off once you get what you need. Alternatively, you could have a special ID or account that you use only when you want step level data. That way, you don't have to keep switching it on and off.
