Setting up the database

Hi All,

I have installed the free trial version of teradata database and other stuffs came along with.

After installation of database, I do not see any system related tables like dbc.tables, sys_calendar.calendar etc., Will these databases and tables created automatically or do we need to setup something?

Please throw some light on this.

"I do not see any system related tables like dbc.tables"

What does "see" mean in that context?
I can't connect?
If i submit "select * from dbc.tables;" there's an error or just no result set?

Or is it just a GUI problem?

Yes, If I run "Select * from dbc.tables", it says table does not exist.

DBC.Tables is a view. I don't know anything about the demo version, but on the commercially sold versions,
it is necessary to run the DIP program to create all the system views.
