Teradata crash with auto-restart

Hello everybody!

This is my first (beginning) thread and I haven't a big experience with Teradata...

I use Teradata rel.4.0.2.2.21 with Windows 2000+SP2 and a disk array 6282-1103 (10 disks, RAID 1).

Now, I have a query that causes the restart of Teradata (!!!) and tracks theese errors in the eventlog:

The first time:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Teradata
Event Category: None
Event ID: 2836
Date: 12/1/2006
Time: 12:44:56 PM
User: N/A
Computer: YODA1-1
Description:
2836: The specified index id was not found.

On Fri Dec 01 12:44:55 2006 on NODE 001-01, VPROC 0, partition 11, task actmain.exe

AMP failure information follows:

Diags_2 : SnapRate(1,2,max): Amp = 0,0,10; Sys = 0,0,22

The second time that I've executed the query (after the Teradata auto-restart...):

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Teradata
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5007
Date: 11/30/2006
Time: 4:34:07 PM
User: N/A
Computer: YODA1-1
Description:
5007: No more rows exist in the requested range.

On Thu Nov 30 16:34:06 2006 on NODE 001-01, VPROC 2, partition 11, task actmain.exe

Panic!
I have executed the SCANDISK (Filer utility) on all vprocs and the checktable utility but there are not error messages...

I have created a new table and I have inserted all rows from the orginal table (no errors).
Then I've executed the query on the new table but the result is the same:
error "2836: The specified index id was not found" or "5007: No more rows exist in the requested range" and the Teradata crashes and restarts itself.

Can you help me??? What does it mean???

Thanks a lot!!!!

Re: Teradata crash with auto-restart

You are using an ancient version of Teradata. The current release is 6.2.0.0. Perhaps you have encountered a bug that was fixed in a later version. You should contact the Teradata support center for further assistance.

Re: Teradata crash with auto-restart

I need to down the GSCTOOLS but I am not sure where to find the download file. I have TTU downloaded but I did see any GSCTOOLS.
