Terminal Window Closed Accidentally

I am connected to the teradata server through a session on my terminal.Accidentally  the terminal got closed. Will the session still continue to be there or it will be logged off immediately? Is there any idle time setting in Teradata, if the session remains idle, can it be forced to log off the system ?How can this be configured?Where is this information available?

Appreciate your help!!

Re: Terminal Window Closed Accidentally

Can you check the process (id) in your box?

Re: Terminal Window Closed Accidentally

No, I did not take the PID of the process.

However, one way to get is to check the details is in DBC.SessionsInfo(if the session is active) & DBC.Logonoff (eventtype when the terminal is accidentally closed) view if the session no is available.

Can someone answer the second part of the question:

Is there any idle time setting in Teradata(or in Viewpoint), if the session remains idle, can it be forced to log off the system?

Re: Terminal Window Closed Accidentally

You can define the connection time alerts in the viewpoint under Teradata Systems>>Alerts>>session>>Connection_time
