Two Point Commit

I have wriiten an update statement inside a BT-ET block. Now the update will be performed in all/some AMPs of the database table(based on filter condition). The update will fail, if any of the participating AMPs  fails to make an update due to any reason, and it returns an error message. Is this an example of 2PC (two point commit) protocol  being followed in Teradata? Also if we are update the flag of certain tables in Teradata through Informatica extraction job from Oracle Db,or through TPT job, does it follow a 2PC protocol?

What are the other type of database activities that involve a 2PC in Teradata?

How can we identify a 2PC activity from the State in Viewpoint Query Monitor portlet?

Thanks in Advance!!
