We've spent 2 weeks trying to install the sample Teradata database on Amazon Web Services (and have failed miserably). Each time we start over we get a different error message at some point, generally along the lines of "something is wrong" which isn't very helpful.
A Teradata Senior Engineer at OpenWorld told me that Teradata has a public instance of the sample database available that people can use instead of installing their own. Where is it and what are the credentials to access it (JDBC & ADO.NET)?
We only need read access.
thanks - dave
this "public instance" was probably referring to the Express edition running on VMWare. Btw, did you try to convert it to run on your Hyper-V?
Otherwise you should try to get some support from Amazon or Teradata to fix your issue.
