Why it is prohibited using the CURRENT_DATE value for a valid time column in a temporal database's VT table?

I always get the 9388. error from the Teradata Database 13.10's Messages document:

"Value assigned to VT column should not contain CURRENT_DATE or CURRENT_TIMESTAMP.

Explanation: Error will be reported if the value assigned to VT column contains CURRENT_DATE or CURRENT_TIMESTAMP either assigned directly or through PA."

"Remedy: Correct the statement by removing

CURRENT_DATE and CURRENT_TIMESTAMP and

resubmit the request."

Maybe they should rephrase :-)

Remedy: Correct the statement by replacing

CURRENT_DATE and CURRENT_TIMESTAMP with

TEMPORAL_DATE/TEMPORAL_TIMESTAMP and

resubmit the request.
