I'd like to use a picture of me as my avatar. I have looked at the Help section and from that I believe that an image needs to be approved before it is used.
A number of items refer to 'uploading to your albums and images' page. Where is that? I have looked everywhere through 'my settings' and 'my profile' but can't find it.
Under 'avatars' I can only choose 'from the community', but I'm guessing that is because I don't have any approved images.
Can you please point me in the right direction?
Instead of My Settings, first go to My Profile. Click the edit icon just to the right of your current avatar. That will let you upload a photo, which will then become available as an avatar.
Thanks for the thought but I don't see that allows me to upload photos/images.
When i do that all I get is:
I don't have any "uploaded images" either.
This is what works for me. Go to MyProfile (About) page and click the Edit (pencil) icon next to the current avatar.
That should allow you to browse and upload a photo FROM MY COMPUTER, and will automatically set it as your avatar.
you can probably do this because you got the Teradata employee status = more trustworthy :-)
I only get the "From the Community" option, too.
My avatar was probably ported from the old forum, but I can't change the picture, too.
I was hoping it wouldn't come down to this, but I think Dieter is correct. You are a Teradata employee and can therefore 'do stuff'.
As per the screenshot that I pasted into the topic earlier today I don't have a 'browse' button.Where you get the choices of 'from my computer', 'from my albums' and 'from the community', us mere mortals only get 'from the community'.
The assumptions are correct, we do allow employees the option to upload an avatar. We are changing permissions to allow other users the same ability to add personal avatars. I'll let you know once we have the permissions changed.
