A constant value in a query is not valid for column

CREATE SET TABLE me_data ,NO FALLBACK ,

     NO BEFORE JOURNAL,

     NO AFTER JOURNAL,

     CHECKSUM = DEFAULT,

     DEFAULT MERGEBLOCKRATIO

     (

      Time INTEGER,

      GDP_gwth DECIMAL(15,15),

      Une_rate DECIMAL(15,15),

      Stock DECIMAL(15,15),

      Hpi DECIMAL(15,15),

      inc_gw DECIMAL(15,15),

      mkt_cd VARCHAR(5) CHARACTER SET LATIN NOT CASESPECIFIC)

PRIMARY INDEX ( Time );

insert into me_data values (200101,5.659810392,6.45,3230.36,62.5,NULL,'AUS') ;

Getting Error Message ---

A constant value in a query is not valid for column GDP_gwth.

Do not understanding why this is happening , I have also change the ddl precision as well.

Re: A constant value in a query is not valid for column

Hi Amit,

all your decimal values are not valid.

The first number in a DECIMAL defines the number of significant digits and the 2nd the fractional digits, so for a DECIMAL(15,15) the maximum value would be 0.999999999999999

Simply change the definition to whatever you need.
