CLI Development on SLES VM

Hi,

I'm doing some CLIV2 development work using the SUSE SLES 10.1 VM. I'm new to CLIV2 programming and would like to use a visual debugger to help me find my way around the data structures but I can't find one installed in the VM and I can't get YAsT to install one (I think the problem is that SLES 10.1 is quite an old version and is no longer supported).

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mark

Re: CLI Development on SLES VM

The native visual debugger on Linux is the Emacs gdb mode. Emacs provides the visual front end to gdb. Both Emacs and gdb are included in the SUSE SLES10 distribution.

Thanks Jim, I'll give that a go.

BTW Emacs doesn't work due to a font problem but this thread shows how to fix it if anyone else was thinking of trying it.
