I have defined PPI on a table,if i use PI in where clause,whether it go and search each and every partition or single partition

Hi Everyone,

I defined PPI on a table,but I am not using PPI column in where clause.
I am using PI in the where clause,whether it go and search each and every partition or single partition?

Could anyone please explain me.

You have not shared your DDL, so that it will be specific.

You can see it using explain. The best one to explain is the Optimzer :)
