I have an external procedure that I have been working on that Mimics ORACLE's DBMS OUTPUT using FileOutputStream. It works fine in my TD 126.96.36.199 VM but does not work in our Production box. Do you guys know any restriction that we have on a production box that will prevent FileOutputStream from executing?
I tried deploying the JSXP in both Eclipse and from the command line. In both instances it works fine on our VM but does nothing on our Production box.
Hope to hear from you guys.
Thank you very much
A Stored Procedure invocation can potentially execute on any one of the database server nodes, each of which has its own independent OS filesystem. You say it does nothing, but perhaps you are simply not looking in the right place.
In the case of the Teradata Express VM, there is only a single virtual node - so the SP must always execute on that same node.
