NOde memory swap

What is node memory swap in teradata ?

 

when do you get node memoy swap ? how do we rectify this?

Memory Swap is usally caused by memory allocation that is never free up.


On Teradata, you have teradata-swapspace program that must dynamically create and remove swap files.

 

You should be able to identify this situation using top, ps -ef and free -m command line.

Rectify this is depending of the situation, but lower the workload on system usually works. For other modification like fsgcache adjustment, you should contact you support team or PS consultant.
