REGEXP_SPLIT_TO_TABLE Error

Hi All,

I'm trying to better understand what happens with the REGEXP_SPLIT_TO_TABLE function. My error doesn't occur with the split function - I've written the code that performs the split correctly. What I have noticed is that when I create a table that stores the split values the source string isn't the same - when I try and join the original table back to the split table, the values do not join together.

Can anyone tell me if there's something that happens to the text values in the field that gets split?

One thing I am seeing is that the outkey field always defaults to 2000 characters (what seems like spaces) and that trimming the field does not work properly. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Table 1 (Source Table):

Fields 1-10

Field 11 [split field/join field to Table 2] varchar(2000)

Table 2 (Split Table):

Outkey [field to be split/join field to Table 1] varchar(2000)

Token Index int

Split Field varchar(2000)

Without knowing your input data and the actual Regex it's not possible to help.
