Stored Procedure Configuration -- RegOpenKeyEx Failed.

Hello:

I'm having trouble configuring stored procedure to work on a Teradata Express 13.0 database (32-bit) database.

When trying to run the following CREATE PROCEDURE statement I get the below error...

CREATE PROCEDURE p1()

BEGIN

INSERT INTO DB.Customer VALUES(1, 'test', '555-5555');

END;

ERROR [HY000] [Teradata][ODBC Teradata Driver][Teradata Database] Internal Error: RegOpenKeyEx Failed.

I've done the following on the system running the express database...

1. Installed Visual C++ 2010 Express

2. Ran cufconfig -i at the Teradata Prompt and received the following...

Teradata

Release 13.00.00.12 Version 13.00.00.12

UDF GDO Configuration Utility (Mar 2006)

Exiting cufconfig...

3. Restarted Teradata.

Same error.

I also disabled UAC on the server because I thougth that might be an issue, but that did not help as well.

Not sure how to fix this registry issue so please let me know what I am doing wrong.  Thanks!

Re: Stored Procedure Configuration -- RegOpenKeyEx Failed.

Hi,

I have Teradata 13 installed with Visual C++ 2008 Express and it works fine, can you try that?

Re: Stored Procedure Configuration -- RegOpenKeyEx Failed.

Hello Adeel:

Yep, that did it!

I uninstalled Visual C++ 2010 and install 2008 and the issue is no longer present.

Thank you for your help.
