Understanding hash join

Hash join:

One or both tables that are on each AMP are fit completely inside the AMP's Memory.

A hash join uses memory or cache to hold small table and joins it by hash value to an unsorted spool.

Can someone please elaborate me the above statement with one small example.

I am getting struck with the word's like "AMP's memory" and unsorted spool.

What is AMP's menory and what is unsorted spool.

Thanks
