Re: teradata appliance 2650

Here are some of the key differences between the 2650 and the previous platform 2580:

2580 Cabinet

  • 4 nodes per cabinet - 2 node cliques
  • Nehalem 2.66 GHz processors
  • 144 3.5" drives - 36 disks per node

2650 Cabinet

  • 9 nodes per cabinet - 3 node cliques
  • Westmere 2.93 GHz processors
  • 216 2.5" drives - 24 disks per node

Improvements over the 2580 include a 3.3X improvement in DSS workload on a rack per rack basis, 1.4X improvement in capacity comparing 450GB drives to 600GB drives, 1.5X improvement in degrees of parallelism with 216 2.5” drives vs. 144 drives. 1.9X improvement in scan performance, 3.4X in number of cores per rack and 2.2X more memory based on the fact we have 9 nodes per rack.

Re: teradata appliance 2650

How would I change a 2650's NEMA ac box to a IEC ac box.
