Sqoop Export - Hive to Teradata - error loading into Timestamp

I am trying to load into a TIMESTAMP(0) column in Teradata from a string column in Hive table through Sqoop export.

Specified the format in Sqoop as --timestamp-format 'YYYY-MM-DD HH:MI:SS'

Getting error - 'Operation not allowed: Error table is being Loaded'

Table in Teradata is defined as TIMESTAMP(0).

Any pointers on what could be the issue/resolution?

Re: Sqoop Export - Hive to Teradata - error loading into Timestamp

Hello,

Could you please provide the following information?

1. Full sqoop error message

2. Are you using the "Hortonworks Connector for Teradata?" or the "Cloudera Connector for Teradata" If so, what version?

3. Sqoop command in use (Please make sure to exclude passwords)

4. What distribution of Hadoop are you using? What version?

Thanks,

Christian

In addition to what Christian suggested, can you also confirm if this job was run previously, and whether it was terminated abruptly from the client side?

If so, you might want to double check if the error table is still present.
