Executing Multiple Queries One By One - Eclipse plugin

I have an SQL script of the form:

  •  drop table X;
  •  create table X as select a,b,c from (view) with data;
  •  drop table Y;
  •  create table Y as select a,b,c from (view pointing to X) with data;
  •  drop table Z;
  •  create table Z as select a,b,c from (view pointing to Y) with data;

Because of the dependencies I want to execute them in this certain order.

Because of the time involved I don't want to manually select & execute each step one by one.

If I use the option "Execute as individual statements" in the Eclipse Plugin, does it do them in the right order? or does it try to do them in parallel?

Thanks

Re: Executing Multiple Queries One By One - Eclipse plugin

"Execute as individual statements" executes them one after the other in seperate request.

You can't run multiple DDLs in parallel, only DML (and then the optimizer knows about dependencies between the individual statements and runs them in the correct order).
