Actually i have read this article . I got confused when i was reading article on Joins Working.
During Joins , the data is moved from vdisk to either in Spool Space or FSG cache ?
In Hash Joins , Joins takes place inside RAM .
So I am not sure FSG Cache is what ?
FSG cache stores the most recently used database segments. When Teradata Database needs to read a data block, it checks and reads from cache instead of from disk, whenever possible.FSG purges least recently used data.
As these are really Teradata Database focused questions you would be best to ask them over in the Database forum where the DBS engineers are more likely to see them (this forum is intended for questions about the Application's like CIM, DCM etc).
