I am logging into Teradata Administrator and receiving the above warning. Has anyone seen this before? If so, what was your resolution to the issue?
This generally occurs if you have another database with the same name except for whitespace characters at the start or end.
Teradata Administrator trims all whitespace from around names so these then become 'duplicate' names.
Another case is for those in foreign locals who use names that contain non-ASCII characters. These characters are replaced by a special character which can cause many names to appear to be duplicates.
For this reason, it is highly recommended that those using non-ASCII names use Teradata Studio instead of Teradata Administrator.
