Cant find ESXI host during TVME Developer Install

Hi,

Wondering if anyone else has encountered the same issue.  We are looking to deploy TVME Developer edition into VCentre using the deploy PowerShell script.

When we run the script we pre-validate the properties files but we are getting the following error

Re: Cant find ESXI host during TVME Developer Install

It looks like there might be more than one issue. Here are some steps I recommend:

1) Make sure you are deploying to a "VCenter" and not directly to an ESXi . The VCenter is an image running in the ESXi environment. I have seen similar errors when customers were not deploying to a VCenter.

2) It looks like you may be over provisioned on CPUs. Teradata requires reserved dedicated CPUs. Try freeing up more CPUs or lower the number of CPUs in your template file to the minimum of 1. You may need to shutdown some servers or lower CPU on other VMs to free up enought CPUs.

3) About the error having to do with 'itppxp08l.ipsn.internal.xx.net.nz'  . Make sure you can ping that server from Vcenter and ESXi. Attach both property files if possible here and attach a screenshot from VMware showing 'itppxp08l.ipsn.internal.xx.net.nz'
